The 2013 ICC Champions trophy cricket was played as well in England and Wales.It was won by India and wrote their name in the icc trophy winners list. India won every match and dominated the tournament under MS Dhoni’s leadership. The final, which was played at Edgbaston against England, was shortened to 20 overs for each team due to rain. With Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja playing important roles, India set a target of 129/7.England appeared to be on track to chase the target, but they were unable to keep up with India’s well-planned bowling attack. The game was turned around by Ishant Sharma’s double goals. Ravindra Jadeja awarded Player of the Tournament for his outstanding all-around play. In the 2009 ICC Champions trophy cricket, which was hosted by South Africa. Australia proved their power and supremacy. They played with New Zealand in the final. New Zealand was limited to a pathetic 200/9 by the Australian bowlers. Australia had an easy chase. Moreover thanks to Shane Watson’s outstanding 105 not out innings. Hence it will be not wrong to call them truly icc champions trophy champions.They brought home the Champions Trophy for the second consecutive year after winning by six wickets. They again wrote their name in the list of icc trophy winners.

When the ICC Champions Trophy cricket was held in India in 2006, Australia took home their first Champions Trophy and hence for the first time, became ICC Champions Trophy champions. They faced the West Indies in the championship match. Furthermore with their brilliant performance, Australia’s bowlers destroyed the West Indies for less than 138 runs. Moreover, Australia quickly chased the new target of 116 and won by 8 wickets. Even though the match was interrupted by rain but they won. The West Indies shocked everyone by winning the 2004 ICC Champions trophy cricket. It was hosted by England. Marcus Trescothick was essential contributor to England’s 217 run score in the final against them at The Stadium.The West Indies’ lower order batsmen came to assist them as they struggled in their chase.
